Sara Kurtz

Miss Kurtz graduated from Wheaton College with a degree in journalism but quickly realized her passion was geared more towards having the privilege of being able to invest in the lives of children by teaching Health and Physical Education. Having the opportunity to lay the groundwork of the importance of being healthy and active at an early age and being able to continually build up on that year after year throughout a child’s time at Oak Grove is one thing Miss Kurtz enjoys about teaching. It is her goal ​​to reach all students, no matter their skill or coordination level, and turn them on to health and physical fitness by putting them in a fun, safe, and success-oriented Physical Education and Health program. Another passion of Miss Kurtz is basketball. She played college basketball at Wheaton College and continues to pursue her love of basketball through coaching. Miss Kurtz started her PE teaching career in 2004 and has her Masters of Health Education from Carroll University.
