2017-18 OGS BAND CONCERTS AND EVENTS
Get ready everyone! We are getting ready for another fabulous year of learning and playing music. Important dates for the new year are listed below. Please note the start time (6:30 p.m.) for all Oak Grove concerts.
Please mark your calendars now. It is imperative that you make plans now, at the beginning of the year, to fully participate in all of your group’s scheduled events. It is extremely important for all players in the group to be present at the performances, so schedule the dates now to avoid conflicts later.

Tuesday, Sept. 5th – Jazz Band begins regular morning rehearsals.
-4th Grade Instrument Demonstrations week.
Wednesday, Sept. 6th Concert & Symphonic begins regular morning rehearsals.
Monday, Sept. 11th - Beginning Band Recruitment Night, 6:30 p.m. Band Room (Parents only)
Monday, Sept. 11th – Concert & Symphonic Lessons begin. Band Room
Monday, Sept. 25th - Beginning Band Lessons begin during 1st period rotation.
Friday, Oct. 6th - 8th grade band members perform at LHS football game, 6:45 p.m.
Monday, Oct. 30th- Symphonic Band at Highland School. Festival Rehearsal - 7 p.m. till 9 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 9th - Symphonic Band All Day rehearsal at LHS. Band Festival at 7:30 p.m.
Friday, Nov. 10th - Symphonic Band performs at Veterans Day. 8:50 a.m.-9:30 a.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 6th - Concert and Beginning Bands Fall Concert – Pat Patt Gym, 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 14th - Jazz Café (Jazz Band and Jazz Combo) - JH Cafeteria, 6:30 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 18th- Jazz Band at LHS Jazz Festival (all day) no evening performance.
Wednesday, Feb 14th - Beginning & Concert Bands Winter Concert - Pat Patt Gym, 6:30 p.m.
