Mrs. W.Miller's First Grade

Mrs. Wendy Miller grew up in Palatine, IL, and knew when she was only in first grade herself, that she wanted to be a teacher.  Completing her undergrad degree in Elementary Education at Loras Collage (GO Duhawks!) in 1997, her first teaching position was in Mundelein, IL.  Mrs. Miller completed her Master's degree from Roosevelt University in 2000, and then shortly after, she joined the Oak Grove teaching staff in 2002.   She has taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, but her heart is with those fun-filled firsties, and that is where the bulk of her teaching career has been spent.  Mrs. Miller continually looks to hone her teaching craft through professional development and leadership opportunities, including regularly hosting student teachers.  She is one of the trail blazers of ADA (All Day Access) of iPads for her little learners, a Trainer of Trainers for Thinking Maps, and embraces all the opportunities and challenges that each new teaching year can bring.

Mrs. Wendy Miller currently resides in Mundelein with her wonderful hubby and their 2 exuberant children.  Her favorite pastime is being with her family, and she gets an enormous sense of satisfaction from organizing just about anything.
